At Litt Wellness & Psychotherapy, our mission is to foster a nurturing environment where every individual can feel truly seen and heard. We believe in the power of compassionate therapy to transform lives and promote emotional well-being.
At Litt Wellness & Psychotherapy, we recognize that seeking help takes courage, and we are committed to providing a supportive space where healing begins. Founded in 2024 by Kiran Litt, our practice is rooted in the belief that being truly heard and understood is the foundation of meaningful change.
With extensive experience in mental health and a deep understanding of the complexities of culture, identity, and emotional well-being, Kiran brings a compassionate and evidence-based approach to therapy. As a therapist with South Asian roots and a BIPOC background, she is dedicated to creating a space where diverse experiences are acknowledged, respected, and integrated into the healing process. She integrates an Indo-Canadian lens when working with individuals struggling to find a balance between their cultures.
Our practice specializes in trauma counselling, more specifically EMDR counselling. Although we also work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Using a person-centered and integrative approach, we tailor therapy to meet your unique needs, empowering you to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.
You don’t have to go through this alone. Whether you are seeking clarity, healing, or personal growth, Litt Wellness & Psychotherapy is here to support you every step of the way.

Couples counseling provides a supportive space for partners to work through challenges, improve communication, and strengthen their relationship. Through guided sessions with a licensed therapist, couples can explore issues such as conflict resolution, intimacy, trust, and emotional connection. Whether you're navigating a specific issue or seeking to enhance your relationship, couples counseling helps create a deeper understanding and a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.
We understand that every family is unique, with its own values, challenges, and strengths. We work to understand the needs of each member and support healthier communication and stronger relationships. We have two areas of specialization when supporting families. First, we work with families who are currently involved with the Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD), helping them navigate the complexities of that involvement with compassion and respect. Second, we offer culturally sensitive support to Indo-Canadian and immigrant families who may be facing generational or cultural challenges in parent-child relationships.
Our trauma counselling approach prioritizes your safety and comfort, ensuring that your healing journey is both respectful and empowering. We utilize techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address past traumas and help you regain control over your life. Let us guide you through this transformative process.
*Note: EMDR Counseling is available for ICBC claims.
If you’ve been in a motor vehicle accident, your emotional and mental well-being are just as important as your physical recovery. Counselling services are available and covered through ICBC, with no referral required. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, PTSD, depression, or stress related to the accident, professional support can help you heal and regain control.
We offer direct billing to ICBC, so you can focus on your recovery, not paperwork.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing life experiences and trauma. Developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s, EMDR has been extensively researched and is recognized as an effective treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties.
During EMDR counselling sessions, clients engage in bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory cues—while recalling distressing memories in a structured manner. This trauma-informed counselling process helps the brain reprocess the memory, reducing its emotional intensity and allowing for more adaptive beliefs and coping mechanisms to emerge.
EMDR is commonly used to treat:
✔️ Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
✔️ Anxiety and panic attacks
✔️ Depression
✔️ Phobias and fears
✔️ Grief and loss
✔️ Childhood trauma and abuse
✔️ Stress-related disorders
✔️ Low self-esteem and negative beliefs
- Reduces emotional distress linked to past experiences
- Lessens physical and emotional triggers
- Provides relief without requiring detailed discussion of trauma
- Helps develop healthier beliefs and coping strategies
- Promotes long-term healing and emotional resilience
EMDR is a structured, client-centered approach that allows healing to occur naturally. Many clients report noticeable relief after just a few sessions.
